Quick note… I have seen at least a dozen requests over the last few days related to the Wireless LAN API for Windows XP. “How do I join in the beta program?” Go to http://connect.microsoft.com and look for available connection “WLAN API for Windows XP SP2”. Those buying Macs, 50% are new to Mac. 3/4 of macs shipped last quarter were intel-based. 12% marketshare for notebooks, doubled from January to June, 2006.

Last release of OSX, Tiger, best-selling Mac software ever. 86 million lines of source codes ported to run on entirely different architecture with zero hiccups. Now over 3K universal apps shipping. This week in LA, Kevin Collins from MS showed off HD DVD drive for Xbox 360 at the at the DVD Forum. No pictures as of yet, but CNET reported that…
“The device–about the size of a hardback book–played “The Phantom of the Opera” as Collins pulled up a menu bar to display a few of its navigation and interactive features that can be called up on screen while a movie is playing. Collins said Microsoft’s HD DVD drive will be among the least expensive of the HD DVD players, but he declined to disclose the drive’s retail price.”

I have the VX-3000 on order as I don’t need a 5MP camera feature (as found in the slightly more expensive VX-6000) in a desktop video camera, so more on the VX-3000 when it arrives.
